I was watching the news last night when a very interesting story came on. As a divorce attorney, I always tell people the day of their divorce is the first day of the rest of their lives. It appears other people had the same feeling and decided it should be a celebration.
There is a whole new market for people newly divorced. They are called Divorce Parties. You had a reception at your wedding, why not a party for your divorce. Party planners all of the country are cashing in on this new trend. There are even divorced themed cake toppers and plates. Some couples who divorced amicably have even decided to have a party together.
Whatever the reason for this new trend, I am glad people are finding a positive in the divorce process. Divorce is tough and not many people feel like having a party after.
